This week, our class has read and done activities going along with the book, “Snowmen at Christmas” by Carolyn Buehner. Today, the class was able to show off their creativity by making their own snowmen!

While learning about Christmas around the world, students learned how important Christmas trees are in Germany! They completed a STEM challenge trying to make a Christmas tree stand using paper, popsicles sticks, and tape!

Kickoff to the Blue Dragon Basketball Season starts tonight! Girls inter squad scrimmage in the Dragon’s Lair starts at 6:30, followed by the boys at 7:00. Bring an item for the food pantry as donation! Go Big Blue!
Come preview our Blue Dragon JV-Varsity Wrestling team tomorrow (12/5) in the wrestling room at 5 pm. Get to know the team, coaches, and the sport! There will be a 20-minute session followed by an introduction of all rules and scoring positions. Hope to see you there!

Thursday December 5, 2019 the Girls and Boys Basketball Teams are kicking off their seasons with Intra Squad Scrimmages at the Garretson High School Gym:
Girls 6:30pm
Boys 7:00pm
These scrimmages are open to the Public at no cost, but in conjunction with the Garretson Food Pantry we are requesting spectators to consider bringing one of the following food items. Please limit it to the items listed below if you do intend to participate:
*Macaroni and Cheese
*Hamburger Helper
*Tuna
*Pop Tarts
*Snack Packs of Fruit or Pudding

The GHS FB/FB Cheerleading Awards Banquet is POSTPONED from tonight until Tue., Dec. 3rd at 6:30pm. It will be in the school commons. Please let Mr. Long know if you are not attending so numbers can be adjusted. Pizza $5, if still able to bring chips and desserts please do so!
