The eighth grade students learned about heat transfer and tested radiation heat energy by cooking marshmallows. The students also enjoyed a s'more with their lab partners.
Tuesday November 14, 2023 the 6-12 Band and Chorus will perfom at Garretson High School starting at 6:30 pm. The 5th Grade Band has been added to this Concert and will perform at 6:00 pm. Please join us for and evening of music and support the 5th Grade Band and 6-12 Band and Chorus Programs!!!

*No Banners, Signs, or Noisemakers. Temporary banners and signs of all kinds are prohibited. All types of noisemakers are prohibited. This includes plastic hand shakers, thunder sticks, as well as all sorts of projectiles. Paper confetti and silly string are prohibited because they are difficult to clean up, in addition to being a fire hazard.
The Winter Athletic Meeting for 7-12 Students and their Parents will be held Monday November 6, 2023, at 6:30 in the New Gym. Following this meeting the Varsity and Junior High Girls Basketball, Girls Wrestling, Boys Basketball, and Boys Wrestling Coaches will hold meetings to discuss their individual sport seasons and answer any questions that athletes or parents may have. Physical, Pre-Participation, and Eligibility forms will be available. Activity Tickets will also be available to purchase for the 2023-2024 School Year.

The 6th graders "wrapped up" their study on ancient Egypt by mummifying carrots today!
Tim Nelson took an electric bus out on the route for the first time today! After the route, the bus still had 64% of battery remaining! We are looking forward to tracking the bus performance over time! Efficient, clean and quiet!
Monday October 9, 2023 Garretson travels to Lennox for JH Volleyball. the 7th Grade and 8th Grade Teams both play at 4:30 pm. 7th Grade games will be played at the Lennox Elementary Gym (305 West 5th Avenue). 8th Grade Game will be played at the Lennox Intermediate Gym (208 West 5th Avenue).
