The Varsity Golf Meet at Chester originally scheduled for April 16, 2024 has been re-scheduled to the following date: Tuesday April 17, 2024 Varsity Golf at Chester 10:00 am
Garretson High School will be offering Athletic Physicals to students grades 6-11 for the 2024-2025 School Year... This past Friday 32 students took advantage of this opportunity. Our next Physical Dates are: Friday April 19 from 9:00-3:00, and Tuesday May 14, from 9:00-1:00. The cost of each physical is $25.00 (make check payable to Garretson High School). Forms are available in the High School Office, or you may print them from our school website under Documents/Athletics. Athletic Screening Form must be filled out and signed before the Physical. The Garretson PTO & Dragons on the Move will be hosting a 5K Run/Fun Walk on Saturday, May 4th at the Garretson Athletic Complex. Registration/Activities start at 5:00 and the 5K/Fun Walk begins at 8:00pm. Cost for adults to participate is $10 and Pk-12th grade are $5. This is open to the community and all Garretson students. The Big East Conference Middle School Quiz Bowl Competition scheduled for Tuesday March 26, 2024 at Garretson has been POSTPONED. No make-up date has been scheduled at this time.
Virtual Region Science Fair Presentations scheduled for Tuesday March 26, 2024 have been POSTPONED and RESCHEDULED to Tuesday April 2, 2024.
The Region Science Fair at South Dakota State University in Brookings Tuesday March 26, 2024 has made an adjustment to their schedule. Because of the forecast of Inclement Weather Schools WON’T TRAVEL to SDSU. All student presentations will be performed Virtually from their Middle/High Schools.
The All State Band Concert will be held March 23, 2024 at Pierre T.F. Riggs High School. The Concert was originally scheduled to begin at 4:00 pm, but will now be performed at 12:00 pm because of the threat of Inclement Weather. GHS students Caiden Maack and Aiden Johnson will be performing. You may watch this concert by accessing the South Dakota Public Broadcasting Website.
The Big East Conference Honors Band Concert will be held Monday March 18, 2024 at McCook Central High School (Salem) at 7:00 pm. GHS students Caiden Maack, Aiden Johnson, Anna Ebbing, Ben Wastell, and Sage Solheim will be performing with the other Big East Conference School Members.
