Saturday August 24, 2024 the Girls Soccer team travels to West Central. The JV Match has been CANCELLED. The Varsity Match will now start at 11:00 am.
The Garretson Community Ambulance will be hosting a Tailgate Party Friday August 23 from 5:30 - 7:00 at the Athletic Complex prior to the Garretson-Hansen Football Game. Menu includes: Pork Loin Sandwiches, Chips, Cookies, and Water for a free will donation, with all proceeds going to the Garretson Community Ambulance. Come out and support the Garretson Ambulance and Garretson Blue Dragons!
Friday August 23 Garretson hosts Hansen to open the 2024 Football Season, with Kickoff scheduled for 7:00 pm at the Athletic Complex. We will also celebrate Parents Night for our Football Team , Support Staff, and Cheerleaders. Parent Night introductions will begin at 6:40 pm on the Track facing the Grandstand.

The 2024-2025 Garretson Activity Season gets started this weekend when Girls Soccer hosts West River Schools Belle Fouche Friday August 16 at 5:00 pm and St. Thomas More Saturday August 17 at 11:00 am. Come out to the Garretson Athletic Complex and support the Girls Soccer Team as the season kicks off.

As many of you are aware, on Sunday evening, a serious ATV accident took the life of one of our students, Alivia Christensen. We know her loss will be felt by many in our community.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, July 23rd, our school counselors, Janie Lundberg and Sherri Matthews will be in the school library from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 to offer support to anyone who may need it. If these hours do not work, but you feel like you need support, please call the office and we will coordinate with the counselors to ensure that somone meets with you.
The strength in our community lies in our willingness and ability to support one another in difficult times. Please pass the word that counselors are available if you know that someone is struggling with this loss.

The Fall Athletic Meeting for 7-12 Students and their Parents will be held Tuesday July 30, 2024, at 6:30 in the New Gym. Following this meeting the Soccer, Football, Cross-Country, and Volleyball Coaches will hold meetings to discuss their individual sport seasons and answer questions that athletes or parents may have. The JH Football and JH Volleyball Coaches will also meet with athletes and parents after the general meeting.
Physical, Pre-Participation, and Eligibility forms will be available. Forms are also available in the High School Office, or you may print them from our school website under Documents/Athletics. Activity Tickets will also be available to purchase for the 2024-2025 School Year.
Senior Banner Pictures will be taken Sunday July 21, 2024…please meet at the Athletic Complex by 7:00 pm. Pictures may be taken at the Athletic Complex or New Gym. The cost for a Banner is $75.00. Seniors will be allowed one uniform for their Picture…whether Athletic, Fine Arts, or FFA. Seniors may have Garretson Activity Props in their picture ex. Football, Volleyball, Golf Club, etc…The Uniform each Senior chooses to wear in their picture can only be an activity we offer at Garretson, no activities will be listed on the banner, only their name will be listed. Contact Mr. Steckler for the Uniform of your choice.
